I’ve loaded the Facebook explorer on my vista sidebar, it was successfully authenticated but now is stuck saying “sending” after I clicked on next. what now? already tried reinstalling, rebooting etc….. help!

  3. The Staff Says:

Jabbernot, try restarting your sidebar: http://www.buildagadget.com/Support-General.php#Topic5

I tried installing/uninstalling the gadget twice and restarting the sidebar – Nothing is working. Any ideas?

  5. The Staff Says:

gcandelaria, generally if nothing is working, restarting the sidebar should do the trick. Otherwise, try deleting the data files for the gadget (Gadget Settings -> Help -> Bottom instructions) and reconnecting.

  6. Heather Says:

Every time I try to connect, and I go to the sign in page, when I hit sign in FB keeps telling me that I need to be logged in to access these features. Is this an issue with the gadget or FB?

  7. The Staff Says:

Heather, it might be an issue with Facebook, but if you login to the site, will it let you go through with the connect? We’ve occasionally seen a couple connect screens, but never a specific FB screen that won’t let a user connect in.

  8. Baris Says:

after facebook changed its interface, Fb Explorer started not to work. is there anybody know when the new version is coming out?

i am facing the same problem too . can you reply in Chinese ? my English not good. tq

  10. The Staff Says:

Baris, re-add it, restart the sidebar if needed or even reconnect as a last resort, but the new interface on Facebook shouldn’t affect the gadget.

  11. The Staff Says:

Grace, I don’t know Chinese, sorry. However, we just did a server move so that would cause the problem temporarily. It should be working now.

  12. Carol Says:

my Facebook gadget doesn’t show any activity on Facebook. On the “Friends” tab it just says “Click here to display friend activity.” When I do nothing happens. The “Me” tab just lists things like “poke, messages, etc. with zero’s next to them. It had been working fine for a while until recently. I deleted it and re-installed it, I shut the computer down and restarted it but no success. I have Windows 7 and I cannot find a way to turn off the sidebar. I found where I could not have the gadgets displayed and I tried that but it didn’t help.

  13. The Staff Says:

Carol, it’s a sidebar lockdown, but in Windows 7, restarting the sidebar is different. Remove the gadgets from the desktop (all of them), reboot the machine, and then re-add them from the Gadget Gallery.
