Bruce,

Thanks for the feedback! So far, I have yet to figure out the madness that is the method that Windows Debugger uses. Some people get errors that I never get, sometimes I get errors, but usually only fatal ones. Perhaps there's a warning option in there somewhere that would explain things better, but I haven't seen it yet.

Opacity tool? As in the background opacity of the gadget or a seperate gadget altogether? If it's the gadget itself, you can right-click to set the overall gadget opacity. Otherwise, I'm not sure if we'll be adding in opacity in the future, but we can keep it in mind for future versions. :)

umm yeah Awesome!!! works nicely just had a few questions. I get an error message or "debug" prompt every time i change a setting. not sure if this is because I have VB on my pc or not... not a big deal just woundering, it works great and doesnt bother me any. Also is there any chance of an opacity tool?

Thanks agian

@Neil: No problem, happy to help. Glad everything worked out okay.

@Brad: Thanks! As for an app launcher, it's on the list, though it might not get done for a while. But rest assured, it is on the list and we will consider it when making future gadgets. Thanks again for the comment and thanks for using System Control! :)

Hey guys, great gadget. I love the style, and i rele wanted an easy way to get the taskmanager up from desktop.

Separate note: what do you think the chances are of you guys making something similar to this, except for applications? There are a few app launcher gadgets out there, but i would love to see one from you guys. Your stuff is always so professional and efficient. If you made your own application launcher, it would fly off the shelves.

Thanks heaps for the quick and detailed reply. I had tried uninstalling but it didn't make any difference - however deleting the persistent settings file did the trick - and it seems to be working fine with a WindowBlinds skin showing.

I look forward to more of your great stuff!

thanks again

@Jill: Thank you very much. :)

@Neil: I would make a couple of suggestions. Try uninstalling System Control completely from your system and re-installing it. If that doesn't work, then odds are somethng went wrong with the persistent settings file.

To delete that file, simply go to: Computer->OS(C:)->Users->[Your User Account]->AppData->Local->Microsoft->Windows sidebar->Gadgets

Then delete SysControlData.xml. Restart the gadget and see if that helps. If it's still coming up blank, I'm not entirely sure what would be causing it. But give all that a try and hopefully it helps. Thanks for downloading the gadget!

hiya gadgetguys

I love System Control - great work!

Now here's the bit where I ask for help...

I installed 1.0 and it worked fine until I changed made it small with only 3 buttons. Since doing that, I can't see the buttons at all when it's in small mode (I see the background panel, lock, and bottom text). And the buttons aren't just invisible - they don't work (i.e. it's like they aren't there at all). When it's in large mode, it works 100% correctly.

I have replaced it with 1.1 & tried playing with every option, but nothing works - if it's small, there are no buttons.

I am using WindowBlinds 6 which allows me to skin the sidebar, but I'm not sure whether this makes any difference or not - I closed System Control, unloaded WindowBlinds and then restarted System Control but this made no difference.

If you've got any suggestions or want any more details, please email me any time.

Thanks & best regards
