We’ve been making some changes to this gadget since its debut. Now, it is still a little ways off from being perfect, but this update includes a re-write of the linking code and introduces enhanced content pages.
Aside from that, the data file is now safely in the AppData / Local folder and should be pretty easy to access from the gadget. Our other gadgets will follow soon with updates to move their files over as well.

I like it but you need to fix the upgrade procedure to inform the user that they must remove the old version before attempting to install the new. The way you have it now, the user clicks on the upgrade link, downloads the new version, and then is rejected because the old one is still running. Confusing.

Mango, we just updated the gadget again, there is a close command on the update now (it’s a stealth update, so no new version) so if you want to re-download it, it should work fine for future updates.
Ive noticed when i try changing pages that run on links it switches to my browser when i have it set to flyout.
p.s.-good quick search tool just needs work in the flyout :’Þ
Zeek, the flyout issue is due to the sidebar program itself. Microsoft pretty much stripped down the iFrame element specifically for the sidebar, we’re assuming for security purposes.
We’ve looked into some alternatives, but for the moment, the best we can do with the current setup is to try and get the landing pages as functional as possible and keep adding them in where possible.
