XM Online Radio 1.2

Posted in Development, Gadget Stuff, News & Updates

Okay, here we go again.  Once more, we have gone over the code and started chucking away stuff that didn’t make sense or just didn’t fit right and replaced a few things with better things and hopefully those things won’t break.  Either way, there are a couple of pieces to this update:

Features

  • Improved Stability.  We mean it this time.
  • Improved Speed.  See “Chucking Stuff Out” Above.
  • Stream Quality Setting.  Now You Can Hear The Difference!
  • Default Browser Links.  All of Them.

With that said, we’re just releasing it so it’ll be on Live Gallery sooner or later, for now, it’s available here and on Widgipedia.

XM Online Radio Patch Coming

Posted in Development, Gadget Stuff

I know it has bugs. It’s weird that only half of you are getting them, but believe me, we are working on them. Considering that we’re attempting to re-write the entire Ajax backend of this gadget, it’s going to be a little while, please be patient. Right now, we have something like 4-5 projects being built or worked on and…

We’re working on it. Bugs are being noted, many of them are caused by the Ajax code used in the gadget connecting cross site, some are quite possibly just being caused by your computers. Trying to figure out which is which is a little bit like playing doctor without getting to see the patient.

Editor’s Personal Note: The best I can do is show up every day and give it my all to get this stuff working. Sometimes things don’t work out the way they should and sometimes it just takes time. The fact that I haven’t yanked this gadget off the site should be proof that I care enough about it to try and get it fixed, but please, please bear with me.

Thanks,
The Staff

Date And Time 1.0

Posted in Development, Gadget Stuff, News & Updates

We have a new gadget out today, fresh from the half-cubicle way in the back of the dark room, through the pit, and over the hedge maze. Okay, so I exaggerate a bit, but it really is a half cubicle. in any case, please welcome the newest release, the Date And Time gadget. Guess what it does. This handy little gadget works as a replacement for the calendar and or clock gadgets that come with Vista and includes multiple date and time formats as well as a calendar and events system, and an alarm clock. It also comes with all the lovely skins from System Control.

Now, this is still a relatively basic gadget, so as we get suggestions in, we’ll try to add to it in the future.

Features:

  1. Multiple Date & Time Formats
  2. Calendar & Events System
  3. Alarm Clock
  4. Persistent Settings
