This version fixes the innerHTML null problem caused by a rogue debug command running into parsing problems. Some users may not see every notification as a result because this update places try / catch commands around key code in the parsing function, but we will work on having more complete parsing in the future. This should at least get everyone seeing the majority of their notifications if not all of them.

The latest version of the Facebook Dashboard stabilizes the previous update.

Changes

We just released the next version of the Facebook Dashboard extension for Chrome. This update brings a fix to the badge counter, notifications, and a message center overhaul.

• Badge Counter fixed and they now rotate to show counts of new notifications, messages, and friend activity.

• Message center has been redesigned to account for the notifications list and message counts.
• New notifications and friend activity are slightly tinted blue when first viewed.

Note: We looked into international character posting support and found that while we can post the characters through by encoding them, Facebook is not decoding the characters on the other side. This means that if you post a non-English character through Facebook’s API, it will come out looking like gibberish on the other side. This is a documented bug that affects all developers. Once it gets cleared up, we will implement posting support in the extension.

We recently started to build extensions for Google Chrome. Currently, we have four released with more on the way. Digg Reader, Market Watcher, Facebook Dashboard, and Market Watcher (Metals) are all available on Google Gallery right now. If you download Google Chrome, the extensions will be readily available to you.

The extensions work on Windows and Linux, Chrome for Mac will have extensions coming soon according to Google.
