We imagine many of you are asking the question “What happened last week?” and rightfully so. Basically, we did a server migration, generally pretty straight forward, but there’s always a few unforeseen problems moving from server to server and we figured that the issues with everything going down were due to a difference of server configuration.

Until we realized that we were under a denial of service attack. Those aren’t quite as easy to fix. We’ve been working with our host to repair the damage and what you see right now is more of a temporary relocation than something permanent, but we’re working on resetting some things and we will try to move the site again at some point soon. After we test everything thoroughly beforehand.

We apologize for the downtime and hope to minimize it in the future. If you have written any support tickets into us and haven’t heard back, it is because we had some problems with the e-mail servers at the same time the site went down. This is an emergency update to the Date & Time gadget that fixes the time zone list. A recent Windows update caused a shift in the zone numbers due to updated data.

Make sure you:
• Have all of your Windows updates installed
• Download the latest version of the gadget
• Edit your clocks to set them to their correct time zones
